The inspiration for Meowmy’s roasted rabbit recipe (for humans) is made of one of our favorite meat, rabbit meat. Théni and I like to eat cat food made from it so much.

By eating rabbit meat, your meal is not only delicious but also healthy.

Ingredients (for Two)

  • 1/2 rabbit’s meat
  • 200 ml cream
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 5 large pinches of dried rosemary
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • cooking oil for greasing the baking tray
  • 1 large sweet potato

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Grease a small baking tray with the cooking oil.
  2. Place the washed rabbit meat in the baking tray.
  3. Salt and pepper both sides of the meat.
  4. Pour the cream into a bowl, then press the garlic cloves into it with a garlic press.
  5. Add the rosemary and mix well.
  6. Salt and pepper the cream to taste, then mix well.
  7. Pour the cream over the rabbit meat.
  8. Cover the tray with aluminium foil.
  9. Preaheat the oven to 200 Celsius degrees (Top/Botton baking function). Roast the meat for 40 minutes, then roast it without the aluminium foil cover for another 20 minutes.

Garnish: Roasted sweet potatoes

  1. Clean the sweet potato, than cut it into small pieces.
  2. Grease a small baking tray with the cooking oil, and put the sweet potato pieces into it.
  3. Roast the sweet potatoes at 200 Celsius degrees for 30 minutes, and stir them occasionally. (For me, the two smaller baking trays fit in the oven, so everything was baked together in the oven at the same time.)
